The Velocity of Love: Love Grows

This February, join me for a different kind of love story. Seven days exploring how loving yourself first isn’t selfish—it’s how you become capable of the kind of love that changes everything. Because hope begins when you fill your own well.

Love is a force in motion. It builds when it’s shared and transforms everything it touches. But here’s the truth most of us learn too late: love doesn’t arrive from somewhere else. It flows from within.

Love Grows

When you teach someone what you know, you don’t lose your understanding. If anything, the act of sharing deepens your own comprehension. The student gains, but so does the teacher. Both grow.

Kindness follows this same pattern.

The person who receives kindness is likely to extend it to someone else, creating ripples that spread far beyond the original act. Your kindness doesn’t deplete when you share it. It releases more kindness into the world.

Love multiplies the same way.

When you love your children, you don’t have less love for your partner. When you love your work, you don’t have less love for your friends. When you cultivate love for the natural world, you don’t have less love for yourself.

Each expression of love strengthens your capacity for all kinds of love.

This is why understanding love’s true nature matters so much, beautiful someone.

When we let love in all its forms play an outsized role in our lives, when we share it freely rather than hoarding it or reducing it to a single narrow channel, it becomes an enormously powerful force.

One candle becomes a constellation of light.

One seed becomes a forest.

One insight becomes wisdom shared across generations.

One act of kindness ripples outward in ways we can’t predict or measure but can absolutely feel.

The Revelation

Notice something powerful in all these examples.

The candle already holds the flame. The seed already contains the tree. The teacher already possesses the knowledge. The kind person already embodies kindness.

Love works the same way.

It doesn’t arrive from somewhere else—it flows from within.

Which means the question for us, beautiful someone, is no longer, “How can I find love?”

The question is: “How much am I willing to let love flow through my life?”

Next: The hardest, most essential love of all. Why you can’t pour from an empty cup—and what happens when you finally fill your own well first.
